Ed,34, hails from down south but has been with Clitheroe for the last couple of seasons. Prior to that he had a spell at Blackburn and also a few clubs down south including Eastbourne, Lewes and Uckfield among others.

Director of Rugby Richard Few commented "I’m delighted for the club to have Ed and Matt take on the Captains arm bands this year. Two great guys who embody exactly what we want from our captains to continue moving the club forwards and improving the playing environment."

Matt, 32, is a one club man and is the product of our junior section....a lot of years ago! He plays in the back line usually at 10 or 12 but is pretty versatile, but keeps away from the pack.
