Both Teams Finish on the Road

So the final denouement of the season is upon us.

After a long wet season of on/off rugby we, at last, reach the last league games of this term.

Both teams are on their travels - the 1st XV to Lancaster to face Vale of Lune, and the 2nd XV to Blackpool to play their 1's.

The 1sts have most at stake, and most to loose. They simply have to win tomorrow to be champions by Saturday evening.
Having beaten Vale 3's back in September 36-16, it would seem on paper to be a straightforward task. But on their own paddock and also being in the promotion mix it will be an extremely tight game.
However Clitheroe are a good team , a good squad - and have proved it. If they play as good as the first 40 minutes last week they should prevail. Its all in correct preparation, execution and big cojones!!

The 2's are under slightly less pressure having already secured promotion.
But they need to win at Blackpool and hope Orrell St James come unstuck against Preston GH 6ths to go up as champs.
Blackpool were beaten 26-11 at Littlemoor on the opening day of the season and are currently mid table. So it is there for Steve Dows' squad, for the taking, if they can reproduce the form when it matters. And it matters!!!

Good luck to both Clitheroe teams travelling from Littlemoor tomorrow.

Both matches are 3pm ko

Post Codes are;
Vale of Lune LA1 2UA
Blackpool FY5 1RN
