A scratched together last minute side was assembled for the trip to Ormskirk who even kindly lent a player to have 15 for the kick off.
And the 2s found them selves 7 nil down in ten mins.
Clitheroe rallied first through a Sam Tarbuck try - with conversion added by Matts boot. Then came big Stew storming through the middle . It must of been at least a 60 meter dash, scattering bodies like pins as he wheezed over the line. Again Matt got the extras: 7-14 at the half.
Ormskirk fired early in second half 13-14. But up stepped Sam White - weaving his way through to dot down under the sticks.
Up stepped the other Matt and off the upright it pinged.
Two Ormskirk yellow cards led to a penalty which was slotted easily to put the score 13-22 at full time.
Clitheroe Player of the Match was Ryan Devine
Again, big up to Ormskirk for lending us a player and look forward to the return match in February
