Wednesday, 3 December 2008By Roger Holmes
The 1st XV are back in action [weather permitting!]this weekend when they welcome North Manchester. The visitors are a tricky side to play and are riding high in 4th place on the back of an excellent 40-0 win over Colne & Nelson.
At least with little training happening this week the team will be well rested, & the skipper, Ben Dover-Graves, remains confident - in spite of the team being out of action for two weeks. Their last game being the resounding win over Hawcoat Park.[44-0]
Our referee this week is scheduled to be Mr.Euan Tully from the MDRS.
Meanwhile the Cavaliars have a rare away fixture up at Kirby Lonsdale.
The Cumbrains are traditionally strong on their own patch and it will be a tough task for Windy Rawstrons men.
Kirby lie 7th in the table whilst the Cavaliars are top - there to be shot at. "the hard work starts here" says the Captain.
