This weekend, people across Clitheroe Rugby Club came together to remember those who gave their lives.

On Sunday morning, straight after their games, our juniors and their visitors from Fleetwood gathered around the poppy that Phil marked out beside the pitch at Silcock Park and stood together in silence.

On Saturday, the 1st XV and Ormskirk lined up together for the two minutes' silence before kick-off.

On Sunday, members of the club joined the town's Remembrance service at St Mary's Church, and then the parade up to the cenotaph.

It's notable that our very own 2nd XV manager, Sam Cheesman, led the service at the cenotaph. 1st XV captain Oscar Duck laid the wreath on behalf of the club.

Remembrance is a solemn time for reflection. It was good to see people from across the club, juniors, players, coaches, members and families, come together for this annual act of remembrance, and to play our part as a community club in this town.

We will remember them.
