Team news: Ormskirk v Clitheroe

The 1st XV head to Ormskirk today looking to keep hold of top spot in Counties 3 ADM Lancashire & Cheshire. The lads have been playing well and go into it on the back of last week's 26-12 win over Ashton-under-Lyne, but Ormskirk is never an easy place to go, as we've found out in previous seasons. Kick-off is 2.15pm.

There are a number of changes, with some young lads coming into the side. Two-thirds of today's squad came up through Clitheroe juniors, which is a brilliant thing to see and shows what the investment in our junior section over the years has given us. The focus now is making sure that carries on.

2nd XV

Sadly, we've had to concede the 2nd XV game at Tyldesley. Between injuries and general unavailability, we haven't had as many players as we'd have liked this week. We apologise to Tyldesley, we're sorry we couldn't put the rugby on, and we hope their lads either find some opposition or enjoy their day. We're looking forward to the return fixture later in the season.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Remembrance Sunday, we'll be paying our respects in town in the morning. We're meeting outside St Mary's at 9.15am for the 9.30am service, then walking up to the cenotaph for 11am. In the afternoon the clubhouse is open from 2pm, with England v Australia on the big screen at 3.10pm.
