The 1st XV were dismantled by a ruthless Hutton outfit, who no doubt will be a strong force in the higher leagues next season.
Clitheroe, shorn of nearly thier entire first choice back line plus half the pack, were outclassed, but still at least managed to put out a team.
However a further injury to Bill Thatcher didn't help the cause.
Meanwhile up at Kirby Lonsdale, the 2nds didn't fare too well either, but again, at least they managed to put out a 15 - Steve Taylor making his first and long overdue appearance of the season. Another injury to Paul Woodward hardly helped, but the lads kept battling to the end.
As ever it's not always the ones who turned out who are at fault - it's the ones who decided they couldn't play that let us down.
Chin up lads and keep going. Keep the faith!
