This Saturday (fingers crossed) rugby returns to Littlemoor after the big freeze.
Local rivals Burnley are the welcome visitors, and Windy Rawstrons' Cavaliers 2nd XV provide the opposition.
The 1st XV unfortunately have no game again, as thier scheduled opposition have a Cup fixture to fulfill. But I'm sure the skipper and coach have a light training run lined up for the lads.
The 2nds were victorious at Burnley earlier in the season 5-19. A game notable for the two contrasting styles of the teams. Burnley keeping it tight, using their large pack to good effect, whilst Clitheroe were keen to spread it wider for thier pacy outside men. Last time the Burnley side contained former Clitheroe 1st XV-er from way back Mick Nicholls; so a welcome back to Littlemoor for the old grey fox!!
Our nominated referee is Mr.Wayne Gear and kick off is 2.15pm.
Bar will be open for 'light refreshments'
