Blowing the Cobwebs Away

Clitheroe make ascent of Pendle!

Thursday, 4 July 2013By Roger Holmes

As an interesting way to blow the cobwebs away, Clitheroe spent the evening on the slopes of Pendle Hill, conquering it's mighty summit via the North Face.
Two teams of Sherpas set off from advanced base camp with a large tree trunk apiece and were soon wheezing their way up the 'big end'
The summit [1827ft] was reached just after 8pm and after enjoying the view for a while the decent was undertaken rather more speedily than the ascent!

An excellent way to introduce teamwork, problem solving and endurance work into early pre-season training.

Well done to the summit party
