Both teams away ........again :-(
Hutton and Kirby Lonsdale destinations for the travelling teams
Friday, 6 February 2009By Roger Holmes
The 1st XV travel the short distance to the police HQ ground, the base of Hutton RFC. The previous scheduled game falling foul of the weather before Christmas.
Hutton are top of the division and are unbeaten, which gives each and every team who play them, that extra incentive to be the first to lower thier colours. Clitheroe have as good a chance as any and are still smarting from the final minute loss at Chorley, so should be 'up' for it.
The Cavaliers, meanwhile, take on Kirby Lonsdale at Underley Park, again in a re-arranged fixture. Kirby lie 9th in the league, whilst the Cavaliers are 5th. Although they travel on the back of a hefty reverse at Thornton, Windys men played with more spirit and commitment than the scoreline would suggest.
Should be a good day out at one of the more picturesque and welcoming clubs. [as well as handy for a few 'stop offs' on the way home]
