CRUFC appoint a new physio

Owain Joslin joins the team

Wednesday, 4 August 2021By Bob Wilkinson

Following the decision of long-term sports therapist Eve Parkinson to move onto pastures new, Chair of Rugby Dave Watson has been searching for a suitable person to continue to build on Eve's good work over the past 4 years. Step forward experienced physiotherapist Owain Joslin!

The primary aim of this role is to provide therapy and medical management for the Senior Squads playing in the Lancashire ADM First, NOWIRUL 4 North and the Halbro Junior Colts leagues.

Owain hails from the rugby heartland of the South West of England and was born and raised in Bristol. However he admits that football was his first love. I’m sure that will change now….! He holds a degree in Sports Therapy and a Masters in Physiotherapy and is currently working at the Royal Blackburn Hospital in their physiotherapy department.
Owain has been looking for the opportunity to put his sports therapy skills to practical use and the role at CRUFC provides the perfect.

Residing in Clitheroe, Owain is keen to contribute to his local club and to build on the great work put in by his predecessor Eve Parkinson. Owain is particularly focussed on developing the injury prevention side of the physio role.

The club is delighted to have Owain on board and we know he will be key to our continued growth and success in the future. We welcome him to the CRUFC family and wish him all the best for the fun times he and we will have over future campaigns, starting with season 21/22 right now.
