IT'S THE BIG WEEKENDER AT LITTLEMOOR

4 Clitheroe teams at home plus the 6 Nations

Wednesday, 24 February 2016By Roger Holmes

Clitheroe RUFC is the place to be this weekend for your rugby fix.

Both senior teams are in action on Saturday and the U15's and the Ladies on Sunday.

The 1st XV host table toppers Aspull RFC 1sts. Sure to be a stern test for the lads after two comfortable wins on the bounce. Aspull are from deep within Rugby League country and will not be adverse to playing an expansive game.
Meanwhile the 2's welcome Kirby Lonsdale 3's for the return match. Clitheroe just won up in Kirby before Christmas in front of a bus load of travelling support and are very welcome & popular visitors to the Ribble Valley.
Kick off for both games is 2:15

The England v Ireland 6 Nations fixture will be on straight afterwards on the big screen. ko 4:50pm

On Sunday Clitheroe U15's host Heaton Moor in the Quarter Finals of the Blacksticks Bowl. Should be a humdinger of a game!
The U13's travel to Eccles for a Quarter Final Plate tie.
Great to see the lads putting in such top performances Good luck to both teams.

Following on from the juniors the Ladies take centre stage.

The 'pitch up and play' event starts at 12:30. It is what it says on the tin! Come down and give rugby a try. It's free. There is no contact! And you get a goody bag and are well catered for in the warmth of the Clubhouse. [see the attached poster]
Then the Ladies play the return fixture v Fleetwood Ladies and indeed their first ever home game. Can they do the 'double'????
A historic moment in the relitely short history of Clitheroe RUFC.

Get along and show your support for all the teams.
