Knocked off the top

The 1st XV went down 17-15 at Thornton Cleveleys in a nip and tuck game. More injuries to add to the list though. Tries came from Roger Carins and Martin O'Connor for the maroons, who were shorn of at least 8 regulars. A frustrating weeks build up for skipper Ollie Mac; what with a couple out injured and others prefering to enjoy other persuits on a Saturday afternoon, some willing young and not so young 2nd XV'ers were drafted in.
