The 2nd Test, Springboks v British Lions will be shown again at the club, live on the Big Screen. Kick off is 2pm - bar open 1pm-ish onwards.
A great atmosphere was generated by a big crowd last week, so don't miss out.
The team has been selected; an all Welsh front row, as expected, but Simon Shaw [pic] comes in at lock - hope for all the oldies yet!
Andy Sheriden is on the bench also.
Obviously a must win game to level the series; and only once have the Lions come back from losing the 1st Test. That was in 1989 in Australia, after being thumped 30-12 in the 1st Test, they went on to win the 2nd 12-19 with tries from Jerry Guscott and Gavin Hastings.
The 2nd Test in SA 1997 was a Lions win 15-18 - a Guscott drop goal sealing it for the Lions.
In 1980 they suffered a 26-19 loss dispite tries from John O'Driscoll and Ray Gravell. Four tries from the 'Boks, including one from legendary back row Rob Louw, plus the metronomic boot of Naas Botha, however were too much.
In 1974 a good win, 9-28, included tries from JJ Williams(2), Gordon Brown, Phil Bennett and Dick Miliken plus a drop goal from a certain I McGeechan.
See you all Saturday....All welcome, members, non members, guests, pets etc ......
