After last nights excellent stuffing of the Golden Lions, the British Lions take on another Super 14 side, the Cheetahs.
Again, historically, the Lions have a good track recod against the Cheetahs - formally known as Orange Free State.
In 1997 a 30-52 romp saw John Bentley score a hat trick.
1980 was closer, 17-21; Welsh scrum half Terry Holmes & Englishmen, hooker Peter Wheeler and wing Mike Slemen all scoring. Legendary Springbok centre Danie Gerber amongst the the scorers for the Free State team.
On the 1974 tour, another close game 9-11. Welsh greats, wing JJ Williams and No8 Mervyn 'the swerve' Davies [pic] both scoring.
Kick off is 2pm our time. Bar open (as usual!!)
Also to follow is England V Argentina from Old Trafford, where I hear an extra fleet of burger vans has been ordered, as Ben Dover, Richie Lummox and chums are all going!!
