The 1st XV won their opening home league fixture of the season 29-13 in front of a decent crowd at sunny Littlemoor.
Tries from James Dickinson, Ross Chamberlain, Joe Weld-Blundell and Sam Thornber plus four kicks from the boot of Nathan Peel saw them home. An eye catching debut from Harry Bailey completed a satisfying afternoon.
Meanwhile, the 2's on their first away jaunt of the year, came back strongly after a moderate start, 'winning' the second half but succumbing 39-24.
Good tries from Matty Bleasedale, Gaz Pickup and Josh Kay were pleasing highlights in an improved showing.
