With the wonders of SKY +, the next Lions game, this Weds will be shown at a 7pm ko. This, accordinding to Bob, is for some 'training' to take place beforehand and also for those late back from work. And as it is a 7.10 ko in SA then it ia almost like being there...almost.
The Lions face the Super 14 side, the Golden Lions, who will be a tougher opposition than last weekend. Brian O'Driscoll is skipper for this one.
For history buffs, the Lions have a good record aginst this side, who have previously been known as the Gauteng Lions and before that Transvaal.
In 1997 the Lions won 14-20, with tries from Austin Healy and John Bentley. In 1980 an impressive 12-32 win included two tries from Clive Woodward and back in the famous 1974 tour, a 15-23 win saw touchdowns from JPR Williams and one each from England back rowers Tony Neary and Andy Ripley.
Therefore history is with us and I predict a narrow win for the Lions.
Be there for 7pm [bar open!!]
