This weekend the 1st XV play thier opening home league fixture of the season.
We pay a warm welcome to the Merseyside club Crosby St. Marys RUFC.
Kick off is at 3pm & our referee from the Manchester Soc. is Mr. Jim Johnston.
Last seasons games were very close between the two teams; Crosby winning 19-8 on their patch, and Clitheroe shading a 16-11 win at Littlemoor.
The pitch is in fine fettle and the forecast is for a dry day, so we look forward to a feast of open rugby.
Crosby had an excellent victory over Colne & Nelson 29-25 so will be confident in doing a double over East Lancs teams.
However after a poor game last week, Clitheroe have trained well and will be looking to bounce back on their own paddock.
Meanwhile the 2's, fresh from last weekends great start will travel the short hop over Pendle, to Holt House home of local rivals Colne and Nelson.
Again, it is always a close game between the two sides, with no quarter given, but always played in good spirit.

Good luck to both teams
PS: Bar open - of course - at Littlemoor, all afternoon!**
