Two good wins for the maroons this Saturday, home and away.
The 1sts comfortably overcame a gallant Blackpool outfit on their seaside trip. Their grip at the top of the table was helped by Ashton's surprising defeat at Broughton. This puts us 5 points clear at the top with Burnley making a late surge on the rails after a heavy win over North Manchester.
All to play for still, and the results prove that there are banana skins out there.
The 2's had a good win over Hoppers 5ths at Silcock Park. Hoppers landed short staffed so a bit of lending and reshuffling made for a very competitive game, with Clitheroe coming out on top. Kirky's troops move up to 4th in the table
