The 2nd Xv had a good win over Ormskirk 3's on Saturday with some great open rugby on show.
A perfect day for it, a firm pitch and coolish weather, the fans were kept warm with some good teamwork and impressive individual play. Plenty of players putting their hands up for 1st XV squad inclusion to the watching Head Coach.
A nice debut for new centre James Dennis, opening the scoring. Plus Oliver Winstanley had a strong game in what is only his second game of rugby. Well in Big Man!
Fantastic to see the return of a few old stagers; Ross Chamberlain, Martin 'Teflon' O'Connor and Dan Jones.
Played in great spirit, with Jack Nadin guesting for Ormskirk when they had an injury crisis late in the game. Thanks Spidey.
Thanks to Ormskirk for the game, a good set of lads, and see you next weekend!
So it's down to Green Lane, for the 2's this coming Saturday. Should be a cracking game.
