An abrupt end to the season for Clitheroe RFC as both teams stumbled out their respective cup competitions at the first hurdle.
The 1st XV were just pipped at Halifax in the 1st round of the Papa Johns Community Cup, a new national competition.
A hard game, but very open and plenty of excitement. 35-30 the final score.
It would remain to be seen on the format of the season next term as there has been some disquiet about the leagues finishing at end of March for some and the cup competition potentially short lived for half the clubs involved, leaving April rather bare of fixtures!

Brief report on team page.
The 2nds face Dukinfield 2nds in the NOWIRUL Bowl. Unfortunately Duks brought a very strong squad and were far too much on the day for KK's men, but they played with their heads held high.
But 3rd in the league, winning the last five on the bounce adds up to a top season anyway.
Just Presidents Day and the Club Annual Dinner to come to wrap up an excellent season
