A win and a loss on the first Saturday of the 2015-16 season.
The 2's had the honour of opening up at Littlemoor and in spite of a dearth of players, which at one point during the week had put the fixture in jeopardy, came out 26-11 victors over Blackpool.
A clutch of new faces showed up well including scrum half Joe Weld-Blundell and prop Dan Tolley. A great win for new skip Dave Watson and the squad.
The 1sts over at Oldham were pipped 32-31. Its not often you score five tries and end up on the losing team.
A couple of worrying injuries to stand out back rowers Darren Eagle and Luke Hayton didnt help thier cause. But promising 1st XV debuts from Austin Wensley, Jamie Farrell and David Kenyon bode well for the future of the Club.
