After the phoney war of warm ups/friendlies and Cup games, the season proper kicks off this Saturday.
At Littlemoor the 2nd XV have the honour of playing the first home fixture, entertaining Chorley 3rd XV.
Chorley have been excellent in their recruiting and after the 3rds played a number of friendlies, last season, they have entered the league (Div 5N) for the first time. So well done to them for that.
Games against Chorley are always keenly fought affairs and this should be no different.
Both sides will be packed full of a mixture of [wise?] old stagers and young bucks.
Kick off is at 3pm and our referee, no stranger to Clitheroe, is Mr. Richard Beveridge from the Manchester Soc.

A warm welcome awaits to old and new friends at 'Tatts' bar.

Meanwhile the 1st XV travel down the M6 again, this time to Warrington side Eagle.
After coming off second best both home and away last season, they will be up for making amends.
Our hosts are a good, strong running team, who need no second invitation to counter attack from anywhere on the pitch.
Clitheroe will have to be on top notch form right from the kick off to be in this game.
Kick off again at 3pm
