The league season starts on Saturday with our 1st XV again under the captaincy of William Oliver MacEntyre hosting Ashton under Lyne to Littlemoor. [ko 3pm]
Ashton had a thin time of it in North Lancs 1 last term, ultimately dropping back down to Noth Lancs 2.
Clitheroe and Ashton have not played each other at 1st XV level for a couple of seasons. but historically it has always been a good match up between the two teams.
Our referee for the season opener is Mr. Adrian Booth from the Manchester Soc. and is welcome as always.
Meanwhile the 2's under the new guidance of Bobby Wilkinson travel down the M6 to Orrell in the Raging Bull N5.
Being a former pie eater the Captain will relish being in familiar territory. The team is the usual mix of old gits and young blades.
Orrell 3's have been reformed for this season as the famous old Lancashire club continues to flourish.
All are welcome to the club [bar open!] and Good Luck to both teams.
