This week both teams are again at home, playing postponed games from earlier in the season.
After many seasons of almost never having both the 1sts & 2nds at home at the same time, we are on our third and have two more to come in April.
It all makes for an excellent afternoon out at CRUFC
The 1sts welcome Ormskirk 2's in what will be a tricky encounter. The two teams drew 15 a piece, way back in September and it's fair to say both teams have had their ups and downs since.
Clitheroe have a lengthy injury list and Easter hols have not helped.
But the inclusion of the experienced James Haynes & Will Jones plus Lewis Hardman back from New Zealand have eased the situation.
Dave Watson continues as skipper in the absence of Club Captain Richard Few on the pitch.
The 2's meanwhile host Bolton 4's. After playing them only 5 weeks ago and coming away 29-24 behind, there is good chance of squaring the series on the Ribb top pitch.
The 2's boast some big lads in the pack, the likes of Smith, Murray, Thornber Snr. and Procter should hold their own in the tight and the much awaited return to the colours for Sam Thornber should aid the back row resources. With the improving John Norman and Alex Woodward also in the squad, the future looks bright.
Rain is forecast, but lets hope it's not too bad for two open games.
Both games ko at 3pm
Our referees are Mr Phillip Tomlinson & Aaron Goodlad for the 1s & 2s respectively.
Messers Burrows and Scott are coming along to cast an eye over proceedings, and to cadge a free pint of Hen Harrier no doubt.
Bar is open of course ;-)
