A big day for the club on Saturday (weather permitting) with both teams playing at home plus the Former Players are holding a reunion lunch. And with the England V Fiji game on the big screen it will be a busy day in the and around Littlemoor.
The 1st XV entertain Ormskirk 2's [2.15pm ko]
The last time the two sides met at Littlemoor, the maroons came out on top 30 -20, which included tries from the supertankers Ben Graves & Will Jones.
Ormskirk's form has been patch this season but they still lie in 5th place in 3N and are off the back of a good win over Chorley last week.
Our referee is Mr. Geoffry Mills from the Manchester Society.
The 2nd XV are playing at the same time on the Ribb top pitch, hosting Leigh 3rds.
The visitors are one place above Clitheroe, so it looks like a good mid table scrap is on offer. Interestingly Leigh's last game was against Tyldesley two weeks ago and they came off second best as well. Two evenly matched teams should be on show. kick also at 2.15pm
Our welcome referee is Mr Tim Nicholson, again from the MADREFS.
** keep and eye on the website and Facebook for any late updates on the ground conditions
Prior to the games Clitheroe Former Players are helping to celebrate the 40th Season in the Clubhouse, over lunch and liquid refreshments.
Meet time for the lunch is 12:30 for 1pm and it will go ahead regardless of the pitch conditions!!
England v Fiji kicks off at 2.30
Scotland v Argentina 5.00pm
Ireland v New Zealand at 5.30pm
Could be a long afternoon......
