This Saturday the 2nd XV take centre stage on the Littlemoor pitch, entertaining Orrell St James.
Kick off 2:15pm
OSJ are a rugby league club who put out a union side in their off season. They got promoted last term along with Clitheroe and are in a mid table position.
The 2s after having last weeks home fixture waterlogged off are raring to get back to action and hope to put on a decent showing in front of the Littlemoor faithfull.
Meanwhile the 1st XV are up at Carnforth where it is a 2nd v 3rd in the table.
Too close to call on paper, but it has all the hallmarks of a humdinger.
Carnforth are always strong at home and it is always an open game at Kellett Road.
Clitheroe and Carnforth have what could be described as a 'special relationship ' having been continuous opposition for most of the past 40 seasons. Even when the two clubs were operating in different leagues we still managed to get a game in at some stage of the season.
Carnforth went through a bit of a trough a couple of years ago but are rebuilding steadily and like Clitheroe have just lost the once so far this season, to Penrith.
Kick off again is 2:15pm
The England v Argentina game will be on the big screen in the Clubhouse, all guests, members and all are very welcome.
