This Weekend at the Club

The 2nd XV take to the No1 pitch at Littlemoor this week , welcoming long distance travellers Hawcoat Park from Barrow in Furness [not the one just up the road]

Hawcoat (formerly known as Vickers, as they were once a works team from the shipyard) are just above mid table in 4N . In the earlier fixture away in Barrow the 2's came back empty handed after an exciting 44-34 reverse. So plenty to play for this Saturday.

Kick off is 2:15pm and our referee is from just over Pendle Hill - Ben Peverley from the Manchester Society.

All are welcome, be it on the touchline or the warmth of the Clubhouse!

Meanwhile the 1sts make the short trip down the A59 to Preston Grasshoppers to entertain their 4ths.
Never less than interesting going to Lightfoot Green, the opposition team selection is often different at home although fortunately all other Hoppers teams are in action at the same time.
The teams played out a thrilling 37-36 win at home back in October with big defensive shifts from both sides. It will be interesting to see how the side has developed since then. [Having said that the usual raft of injuries and unavailabilities has not helped either team - think on lads].

On Sunday the U16s have a big game away at West Park [St Helens] whilst the U12's are hosting Burnley U12's at Littlemoor.
11 am kick off for supporters.
