This week Clitheroe 1st travel the short well trodden road down to Marl Pits, home of Rossendale RUFC.
'Dale are in 6th position in the league, just one place below Clitheroe.
With both teams winning last week, 'Dale beating Ormskirk, a close game is in the offing.
Last season there was two titanic battles between the two sides, but Rossendale winning both rubbers; 21-12 at home and 10-17 in the return at Littlemoor. They went on to top the league table by some margin to gain automatic promotion.
Ollie Mac's troops have the talent at thier disposal and can take the confidence of some good wins so far this term with them, but they will have to be at thier competative and combatitive best down in the valley tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Pundy's 2nd XV welcome Millom 2's to Littlemoor for the very first fixture between the two clubs.
The Cumbrians, in thier first foray into the league set up are riding high in 2nd place and have only lost a single game this season.
Even having to travel long distances for all thier away fixtures, they seemingly 'travel well'.
However the Cavaliers are on good form after an excellent win in the mud at Chorley last week, so are looking forward to the challenge, that is weather permitting. [nice and sunny here after a frosty night, 2pm Fri]
Our referee from the Manchester Soc. is Mr. Marc Holland.
A warm welcome to all visitors old and new.
p.s. - live International rugby on the big screen in the clubhouse - all welcome, bar open!!
