Two Home Games for Clitheroe.......at last
Colne & Nelson and Bolton the visitors
Wednesday, 11 March 2009By Roger Holmes
At last there is rugby at Littlemoor this Saturday.
The 1st XV have an interesting local derby with Colne and Nelson, making the short trip over from the 'wrong' side of Pendle!
Clitheroe went down to a narrow 14-12 defeat at Holt House back in October in a tough encounter. So Skipper Ben Graves' men will be looking to square things up at home[ko 3pm]
Colne had a 13-5 reverse at Carnforth last time out, so will be looking to bounce back from that. With both teams on 10pts in the table it could be a tight one
Our referee for this game is Mr. Giorgio Brugnoli, who along with Mr. Tim White, who is reffing the 2nds. Both Gentlemen are most welcome, as always, to Littlemoor.
The 2nds play Bolton up on the Ribblesdale pitch, and Windy Rawstron's troops will be looking to put another win on the board.
Clitheroe won 0-29 at Bolton in November, but the visitors have had some good wins recently, including a 30-0 win against Fleetwood last week. So we'll have to be on top form to get a result.[ko 2.30]
All the International 6 Nation games are on the Big Screen in the clubhouse, plus the girls have a full hockey programme - so should a busy day at Littlemoor.
Come on down - all welcome - it's better than shopping!!
