This Saturday we are in the lucky position of having both teams at home. Also even better the forecast is for dry weather!
The 1sts entertain Ashton-under-Lyne, who are going great guns in the division, handily placed in 2nd place, only one point behind leaders Thornton. They have a big powerfull set of forwards and some strong runners in the backs and have only lost once this season.
Back in September the Littlemoor men ran them close 15-6, in an exciting game, with Martin Lafranceschina, playing out of position, scoring the points for Clitheroe.
A rare old battle up front is on offer plus the sight of some , hopefully, good back play as well from both teams.
Meanwhile, on the top pitch, Bobs 2's welcome Fleetwood 4ths, who after some shakey results have moved into a comfortable mid table position.
Over on the coast Clitheroe won quite easily 5-53, but Fleet will admit they were a bit underclubbed on the day - in spite of former 2nd XV skipper Dan Jefferson turning out for the Seasiders.!
Both Matches are a 2.15ko.
Our Referee's for the 1st & 2nd XV's are Tony Holt and Judd Williams respectively.
All welcome, as ever, to join the fun!
