After the non stop rain of the past few days, Saturdays opening Miller Homes fixture for the Cavaliers has been cancelled. 2nd XV Skipper Simon 'Windy' Rawstron said " it's a huge dissapointment, as we were raring to go, especially as it's always a good tussle with our old adversaries Carnforth"
The pitch, although fairly firm, after Groundsman Phil Isherwood and his gang have worked all summer on it, just could not deal with the quantity of water.
A total differance to last seasons opening weekend; when it was shirt sleeve order!
We now wait for the League to assign a new date for this match.
