This weekend the 1st XV welcome high flyers Thornton Cleveleys to Littlemoor.
Thornton are second in the league just behind Ashton under Lyne, and seem promotion certainties, especially having only lost once this season.
They are obviously a top team and have gone from strength to strength this season.
It will be tough day at the office for Clitheroe but having trained well this week they can look back on the reciprocal game at a wet Thornton earlier in the season as a crumb of confidence to hang onto. At half time it was just 3-0 to the home side. But a strong bench helped them to ease away to 20-0 in the second half.
It is that sort of spirit that will needed this Saturday.
Note we are now on 3pm kick off time.
Our referee is Mr Stephen Ralston from MADREFS.
The 2's meanwhile travel to Blackpool, which will be an equally tough trip for Bob's troops. A 17-15 win at home will be had to repeat against the seasiders at home. But again the spirit is there so give it a lash!
