Tough weekend of results for the maroon & golds this time round.
The 1st XV lost our 8-29 to a powerful Thornton Cleveleys team. They have cemented their position as promotion favourites. Our lads played like heroes and certainly were not disgraced. Match report and pics available.
The 2nds lost out to an unusually strong Bolton 2's. Bolton were short staffed on Friday but an SOS social media post brought the cast of thousands to their aid. Difficult to judge - on one hand they may have blobbed and no home game, but the pudding was a wee bit over egged. Ce la vie...we go again.
On Sunday the U15s took on Aldwinians at Silcock Park. In a highly entertaining game, where the lead change hands on several occasions, they just lost out. But tries from Shaun, Buckley, Jack and Rikoe were well deserved.
This is a fantastic group of lads who are well coached by Ryan Devine, and are worth a watch in their next outing. Stars of the future on show!
